Bonaire lodging offers a wide variety of accommodations for its visitors to suit a range of needs and vacation desires. The most popular type of accommodation, and usually the most expensive as well, is the ocean side resort, with on-site dive shop and dining, and traditional hotel rooms. Some ocean front resorts also offer condominium-style or villa units with kitchenettes for larger groups, families, and those who want to economize a little by cooking their own meals.

Private homes and apartments, inland and ocean front, can be rented as well, but are usually quite difficult to track down. Kas di Ambiente, Sunset Ocean Villa, Pelican Reef, Villa Kiki, VINIBU at Bellevue, Caribbean Court, Bonaire Oceanfront Villa (Hamlet #9), Crown Ridge #13, Hamlet #10, or Villa Ganshi offer seaside accommodations with lots of privacy for you to enjoy your vacation.

As an alternative seaside accommodation, Alan and Joan Zale's Condominium, which is at the Sand Dollar Condominium Resort, provides an ocean front location, but also offers resort amenities. Kas Bientu di Pasat offers the advantages of a seaside resort including a beach and pool. And for hill-top luxury with sweeping views of Bonaire, La Pura Vista or Kaya Turkesa #22 will fit the bill. Those who do not require seaside accommodations will find Bonaire Feeling provides a wonderful home away from home, with its convenience to Kralendijk.

These apartments and villas are perfect for the vacationer who does not want the constant activity of a resort.

Each home or apartment owner will have his or her own restrictions and rules. And of course, since they are private rentals, payment will usually be in the form of cash and not credit card. Check the information carefully before making arrangements. We do suggest a car rental for visitors staying in apartments to better enable sightseeing, sports activities, grocery shopping and dining out.

Often the best solution for budget minded travelers are the myriad of apartments and small hotels on Bonaire. Consider Divers Paradise, Lagoen Hill, Coco Palm Garden/Casa Oleander, Bridanda Apartments, or Yachtclub Apartments, all of which offer accommodations with several units--perfect for couples or families, or even larger groups.
