Welcome to Bonaire Lodging, Highlighting Bonaire’s Small Accommodations
Bonaire Lodging offers a wide variety of accommodations for its visitors to suit a range of needs and vacation desires.
The most popular type of accommodation, and usually the most expensive as well, is the ocean side resort, with on-site dive shop and dining, and traditional hotel rooms. Some oceanfront resorts also offer condominium-style or villa units with kitchenettes for larger groups, families, and those who want to economize a little by cooking their own meals.
Private homes or apartments.
Private homes and apartments, inland and oceanfront, can be rented as well, but are usually quite difficult to track down. Pelican Reef offers seaside accommodations with lots of privacy for you to enjoy your vacation.
Bruce Bowker’s Carib Inn offers a small resort with only eleven units and it is perfect for those who do not want the hustle and bustle of larger resorts. Known for years for their great service and value, Carib Inn offers oceanfront accommodations, as well as lodging in nearby houses, so that there is a price range to meet every budget. All their dive staff is fully certified PADI Instructors, even those who accompany guests on their boat dives. They offer a full range of PADI dive instructional courses right on-site.
Often the best solution for budget-minded travelers is the myriad of apartments and small hotels on Bonaire. Consider Coco Palm Garden/Casa Oleander, which offers accommodations with several units–perfect for couples or families, or even larger groups.
Windhoek Resort Bonaire is a new small eco-resort, ideally situated in the upscale area of Punt Vierkant. This four-star luxury resort is close to Bonaire’s southern dive sites, Lac Bay for windsurfing, and the kiteboarding beach at Atlantis. The one- and two-bedroom villas are set in a tropical garden, complete with swimming pool, sunbeds, a covered lounge area, and a communal BBQ.
Check the terms and conditions.
Each home or apartment owner will have his or her own restrictions and rules. And of course, since they are private rentals, payment will usually be in the form of cash and not a credit card. Check the information carefully before making arrangements. We do suggest a car rental for visitors staying in apartments to better enable sightseeing, sports activities, grocery shopping and dining out.
